Our Team

Hadja Diarah-Keita
Co-founder, Managing Director
Hadja Diarah-Keita is a seasoned bilingual editorial content expert, writer, and translator with an extensive background in journalism, publishing, and corporate communications. With a postgraduate degree in journalism from the Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris III, she has built a career spanning over two decades in editorial content creation, storytelling, and media strategy.
Her journey in publishing includes roles as a freelance writer and translator, contributing to major publications, as well as translating and editing literary works, including Addis-Abeba – Le Serment (Cauris Éditions, 2023). She has also held leadership positions in corporate communications and content development, notably within various divisions and countries of the global Telecom Group Orange, where she spearheaded internal communications, digital content strategies, and editorial projects.
Now based in Dubai, Hadja brings her expertise in content creation and cross-cultural storytelling to Kany Publishing, where she is committed to fostering African narratives and amplifying diverse voices in global publishing.
Kadiatou Konaré
Co-founder, Publishing Director
Kadiatou Konaré is an esteemed editor and publishing expert with over 25 years of experience in the literary world. Passionate about the power of books as tools for education and cultural exchange, she has dedicated her career to bridging African narratives with the global literary landscape.
She is the founder of Cauris Éditions in Paris (2000) and Cauris Livres in Bamako (2013), both of which have played a pivotal role in promoting African literature, history, and arts. Through her work, she has championed books as instruments of dialogue, knowledge, and empowerment.
Beyond publishing, Kadiatou has held significant roles in cultural diplomacy, serving as Minister of Culture, Handicrafts, and Tourism of Mali (2020-2021) and as Honorary Consul of Haiti in Mali since 2018. Her contributions to literature and culture have been widely recognized—she has been honored as a Knight of the National Order of Merit of Mali and as an Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters of France, two prestigious distinctions that highlight her impact in the cultural and intellectual spheres.
As co-founder of Kany Publishing, Kadiatou brings her vast editorial knowledge, commitment to African storytelling, and vision for a publishing house that amplifies diverse voices and fosters a deeper appreciation for African heritage.
